Happy New Years!
And what a new year it is. I’ve got several announcements and what not for the blog. The biggest and funnest would be that we’re about to launch a new website on our own domain. You can expect to see that hopefully in a month or so pending no major issues with coordination of very busy oddly scheduled peoples. This new website will also feature our newest team member, and a returnee. If you didn’t know, this month is tadoku month, head on over and sign up now! Get to it. Goal for me is 300, staying modest, bigger goal, actually recording what I’ve been doing. 🙂
Hmm, lets see, to wrap up last year, I would say that there were some huge changes in my life. Moved 8 states north, got a job, daughter turned 4, found out that I had severe allergies to some food stuffs, lost a good bit of weight, and made tons of new friends both online and off, in Japanese joy and gaming world. I even started talking more in Japanese, mostly arguing or talking to myself in Japanese on the way to work. I’ve been playing more around in J-J style and collected a good bit of Japanese books from a 3 hour away bookstore. So this year, I hope to kick some butt, keep up what I’ve been doing, but focus a bit more on the blog. I feel that this past year I stopped blogging a lot, and in fact, I fell out of internet land for about 3-4 months due to the health issues. Blogging helps keep me focused and accountable, so I want to bring that back. When the new website is launched shortly, I will have a large introduction post on the about page to show you what’s on the blog, and how to use it. While the blog roll itself will not be lost for those who prefer the rss feed, it will be set up more for the resources, and more for articles about things as well. New features like fashion fusion and posts in Japanese will begin to show up as well.
I did not really make any resolutions this year, but I suppose if I had to pick one, it would simply be to keep improving. Whether that be intellectual, emotional, or physical progress, I just want to keep stepping forward beating yesterdays and todays. Mini goal making has always been apart of my life, and I will continue with that.
Another thing I’d like to talk about would be our dear friend and writer Delnier’s hiatus from writing on the blog. When the tough gets going, dropping writing and blogging is better than dropping more important things like family and job and studying Japanese. He is still apart of our community, however right now he’s living it full swing.
Some of you may notice that blog pages started disappearing, and this is normal as it is apart of the transitioning process of reformatting and rewriting articles. You should find them on the next website. Well I gots to get back to my reviews!
I hope everyone has a wonderful year and continued introspection and forging forward in your quests.
